Is there such a thing as being too hot?

A friend of mine brought this to my attention. She proposed that it is possible to be too hot, and thus discouraging to the opposite sex. But, is it true? Can a person be too hot to go out with, but not too hot to get catcalled? If so, where is that line?

  1. I think someone can be so hot that the only way a guy feels up to talking to her is through the shield of sarcasm or macho bullshit.

Of course, if he'd take the time to get to know the girl and make friends with her, he could learn that, super-hot though she may be, she is a real person and worth knowing.

Then he blows it by letting her know he's always been attracted to her just before the big cliffhanger at the end of the episode!

  2. That makes sense.
This is the reason 4 guys have spoken to me but, as soon as I said it was okay to go out, they got quiet my friend said. That's why I ask. I laughed at her, but that's just because of her leap of logic from me to hot. But it's a nicer reason then some other ones...
